You Only Get One Chance to Make a First Impression

Now that the weather is staying nice, I want to play in the dirt! So I spent a few hours (ok...an entire night) surfing around for some landscaping ideas to make my yard more attractive.

Afterall, we only get one chance to make a first impression, right?

On the advice of HGTV's Garden website, I'm stealing techniques used by professional landscapers to make more efficient use of my gardening time and money... and now I'm sharing that with you. So check out a few of my favorite landscaping ideas.

Here's the first:

Install a short brick path that leads to your door or a small courtyard to bring interest and detail to your front yard space.

Not only will it give your home an air of mystic, it's also very inviting as either a space for sitting quietly and watching people or as a comfortble spot to welcome neighbors for a relaxing chat.
